Anti-Impression Management new practice: I wrote a book called “People Before Tech: Psychological Safety and Teamwork in the Digital Age” and you can find a discount for it at the bottom of this page, and we make software that measures and improves Psychological Safety in teams. If you care about it- come talk to us.
We’re doing things differently this week - the Psychological Safety series has a mini-rant -brought about by a very ill-advised article that trended on how people should stay silent to get ahead so you can imagine it got my blood boiling as it flies in the face of everything that’s good for anyone- and this here is a lot more sedate of an exploration of where we are brought about by the milestone of the European book launch finally being upon us and of how DOES Europe takes place next week.
In this short video there’s some more insight on how the book was written (let’s just say I don’t miss the 4 am alarms of the first lockdown) and next week, I’ll post some excerpts so we discuss some of the fundamentals now that it’s going to be in your hands, but before anything, for all of you who will receive it in the mail or in your Kindle this week, let me just say a very heartfelt “thank you!”.
When it comes to the book, some of the principles it is centred around are relatively foreign, admittedly complex and clearly need a lot of explaining as I came to learn on the podcast circuit when we talk about the launch.
The major one amongst them is the fact that my book is written for both sides of the equation - business and IT.
