I wrote this article about Agile not being “business but personal” ages ago for Forbes -and then it made its way into the book as well so those of you currently reading it will recognise it- but it stands - however controversy-ridden Maslow pyramid may have become, there are evident urgent needs versus ones that are of less priority to us, humans.

Once out of the fundamental ones for physiological wellbeing and as soon as we reach any self-actualisation, belonging/community needs and esteem, Agile responds to some of our most basal desires to better ourselves and grow, and it’s one of the reasons why some people take to it so fully, should their personalities and life stages or momentary status allow them to be craving those higher planes of accomplishment.
